This $70M facility consolidates six separate courthouse facilities into one new, multi storey, fully integrated building.  The 388,000 sf building contains thirty-four (34) courtrooms, offices for the Ministry of the Attorney General, Peel Police, Peel Law Society and other agencies. For security purposes, there are separate circulation patterns for the public, prisoners and the judges. The facility consists of six floors above grade and one basement level.  The parking and prisoner cells are located in the basement level.  Courtrooms are found on floors 1-4 inclusive.  Administrative office space is situated on the fifth floor.  Judicial suites are situated on the sixth floor. The Design/Build team consisted of Ellis Don Construction, Zeidler Roberts Partnership Architects, Murray and Murray Architects Inc.; Design concept by Webb Zerafa Menkes Housdon Partnership. ZAS was responsible for the Interior Design.   ZAS was responsible for master site planning and approvals from authorities having jurisdiction.  Site construction was phased and the existing courthouse remained fully operational during construction.
